About a week or so ago I took my four “fur Babies” on a road trip with me. They are my best traveling buddies. Since we are still in the get acquainted mode here, let me explain. When my dad passed away my parents owned a 35 foot 5th wheel travel trailer that we put in a resort near Sea Isle City, NJ. They lived in it part time on the Outer Banks, NC, and being that was too far to travel for weekends, mom was thrilled to be closer to home. I was very fortunate to be able to enjoy my summers (I work at the local high school and have summers off) for 10 wonderful years there, with my mom. Two years ago I inherited the trailer when my mom passed away. Here are pictures of our trailer and the front porch my mom loved so much….
It is so very lonely now, since we are empty nesters. Mr C. (CraftLadi) doesn’t get his summers off, and our DD (dear daughter) now lives in Cambridge, Mass. after graduating college. So the girls and I took out last trip to the beach, but it was rainy and cold.
Here are two of my traveling buddies. Everyone takes turns sitting up front with mom.
Fire pits and picnic tables look so lonely this time of the year! But the trees are beautiful. SO MANY MEMORIES…..Aren’t “SMORES” the BEST!
I found a few places where the leaves started to change colors, but you really need to travel north instead of south to see the color changes. Fall is my FAVORITE time of the year!
Thanks for letting me share my little place that is my “Paradise!!!!”
Is it starting to feel like fall in your neighborhood??
