Jamie’s Tree
When our daughter Jamie was born and growing up…..I decided that each year I would give her an ornament dated for that year.
When she got older and left our nest, got married or whatever pathway she chose to take in life… she would have a collection of ornaments to take with her. I searched stores and craft shows all the time for handmade, meaningful ornaments.
Then my mom stepped in to help. Mammy (as my daughter affectionately called her) started to hand paint BEAUTIFUL ceramic ornaments for her each year. Now that my mom has passed I hope Jamie treasures them as much as I do the ones that mom painted for us also. Every year we waited to see what she would give us. They were always the cutest and so much meaning behind them.
Here are some pictures. I hope you enjoy them as much as we do.

Ceramic Santa
Mom and I went on to start a small business pouring, firing, painting and selling these ceramic mouse ornaments which grew to much more than that. That was over 20 years ago. We had so much fun together painting and creating crafty decorations. Every year when I decorate for Christmas I relive all those wonderful memories. I just wanted to share some of her beautiful creations with you before they all get packed away.
Thanks for visiting today…
